Baybrook Mall, a premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination located in Friendswood and servicing residents in surrounding cities/counties continues, to add new retailers to their impressive list of tenants and plans to complete the expansion of over 555,000 square feet of retail and lifestyle space by the end of this year.

In the fall of 2015, the shopping center completed the first half of the expansion, which included The Lifestyle Center, a 285,000 square foot facility that added more than 30 retailers, 10 restaurants, and leisure space for shoppers. The grassy leisure area, often referred to as The Lawn, stretches almost the length of a football field and is lined with comfortable chairs, tables and benches. The Lawn serves as a gathering area for the community and is used to host monthly events like family movie night and concerts featuring local artists on The Lawn’s stage. The Lifestyle Center expansion also includes a Dave & Buster’s and Star Cinema Grill.

“The new Baybrook Mall brings a shopping and entertainment experience unlike any other in this area,” said Jeff Gionnette, General Manager of Baybrook Mall. “We catered the expansion to what we identified as an opportunity in this thriving community and the neighboring areas.”

The second phase of the expansion is set to open in the fall of 2016 and features a 270,000 square-foot open-air Power Center, which will contain a variety of retailers including The Container Store, REI, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Field & Stream and more. Upon completion of the Power Center, the entire property will span 1.8 million square feet.

“We wanted to create an all-inclusive destination where customers can come to not only shop for the latest trends, but also bring a date for dinner and a movie, or spend time with the family at an activity hosted on The Lawn,” said Gionnette.

In business since 1978, the mall offers shoppers a wide range of options, which include department stores like Dillard’s and Macy’s, as well as big name brands such as Apple, Banana Republic, Buckle, H&M, Kendra Scott, Michael Kors, Microsoft, LUSH, Sephora, Sur La Table, Victoria’s Secret, White House Black Market, Z Gallerie and ZARA. In addition to the new retailers, Baybrook has added dining options including Kona Grill, Grimaldi’s, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille The Rouxpour and Yard House. The newly installed restaurants are part of The Lifestyle Center near The Lawn, and provide covered patio areas where guests can dine.
