Registration Now Open for 2019 La Marque Christmas Lights Contest dubbed LIGHT UP LA MARQUE

The Keep La Marque Beautiful Commission is gearing up for the 2019 “Light Up La Marque” Christmas Lights Contest and encouraging citizens to register or nominate a neighbor by Monday, December 9, 2019. A new set of rules was developed this year and the commission hopes for record participation.


  • Registration is open through December 9, 2019. Residents of La Marque are encouraged to register and nominate neighbors for festive décor at
  • From December 13 through December 15, 2019, voting will be held in the Keep La Marque Beautiful Commission Facebook group.
  • Winners will be announced on December 17, 2019, including a category of "Continuing Excellence".
  • Previous winners are eligible to participate.
  • Monetary gifts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, as well as a yard sign for the first-place winner

Keep La Marque Beautiful Commission's mission is to improve and enhance the physical environment of La Marque through beautification, solid waste management education, coastal awareness activities, litter abatement programs, education of residents and encourage their participation in these areas and encourage partnerships within our community.

KLMBC meets at 6:00 p.m., the second Wednesday of each month in Council Chambers, 1109B, Bayou Road, La Marque, Texas 77568. All interested parties are invited to attend meetings, engage in volunteer opportunities and hear about upcoming projects.
