LEAGUE CITY, TX -- The Clear Creek Education Foundation (CCEF) hosted its Annual Community Partner Luncheon, Feb. 11th at the Hilton NASA Clear Lake. Over 150 guests helped celebrate CCEF’s 30 Year Anniversary and witnessed a special message “CCEF In the Beginning,” narrated by Dr. Ron McLeod, 1992 CCISD Superintendent. Speakers Dr. Eric Williams, CCISD Superintendent and Kelli Byrd, 2022 CCEF Chairperson of the Board also shared the importance of the foundation and its 30-year impact to the community.

“We’re grateful to all the community partners who turned out to see our students showcase some of the best programs provided by CCEF. Many remarked at how impressed they were with the variety of programs impacted by CCEF funding raised, and that’s a true testament to our work,” expressed by Deborah Laine, Executive Director.

Since its founding in 1992, CCEF has been a nonprofit dedicated to building public education in Clear Creek ISD through grants and programs that empower every student to achieve academic and personal success. The organization raised over a million dollars in 2021, a record-breaking year.

Before the luncheon, attendees were invited to visit CCISD students and teachers from various schools, who were awarded grants through the foundation. Grants that were showcased included: Biking While Reading – Movement Helps Us Focus, presented by Bayside Intermediate; Falcons on Target presented by Clear Lake High School; Kinder Robotics, presented by North Pointe Elementary; Robotics, Coding, and Computational Thinking, presented by Bauerschlag Elementary; Write Brain Books, presented by Clear Brook High School and ISM Expo Display, presented by Clear Horizons ECHS.

This annual fundraising event is held in the spring to raise support for CCEF’s mission and raise awareness on upcoming events. The luncheon was sponsored by Houston Methodist Clear Lake and Hilton NASA Clear Lake.
